While Dillon Brooks is no longer a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, the new Houston Rockets forward still has strong relationships with his former teammates. Playing for Team Canada during this summer's FIBA World Cup, Brooks has been supporting Ja Morant by wearing his signature sneakers:

This is not the first time this summer that Brooks has been seen sporting Morant's new shoes, but it's always cool to see this connection between the former Memphis Grizzlies teammates. It's been an interesting summer for both Morant and Brooks, as Brooks was part of a major sign-and-trade that landed him in Houston, and Morant was of course suspended for 25 games after another gun video incident.

There have been a lot of narratives about Brooks and his departure from Memphis, but one thing remains certain, and that's the positive connection he still has with his former teammates. Many Grizzlies players have spoken up about their love for Brooks, which has been cool to see amidst a lot of negative media coverage.

While it was time for Brooks and the Grizzlies to go their separate ways, the All-Defensive team forward will always be an important piece to what Memphis built over the last several seasons. Now in Houston, Brooks will look to bring his veteran experience and toughness to a younger group looking to find their way in the Western Conference.
