Miami Heat fans stood confident after a seven-game win streak heading into their game against the Chicago Bulls Saturday night.

And just like that, a double-digit blown lead resulted in a loss, leaving fans criticizing the team all over again.

“Up 22-1 and this team completed fumbled it,” user HeatCulture said. “Reminded us why you don’t depend on below average talent every year. Our bench completely ruined all the momentum we had, Spo needs to stop waiting forever to put Jimmy in the 4Q and this team needs to learn on HOW TO HOLD A LEAD. Absolutely embarrassing.“

The game started promising with Miami opening up to a 22-1 lead and establishing their dominance over Chicago. But the Heat’s tendency to blow leads was their downfall once again.

Duncan Robinson, Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler led the way with a combined 66 points. However, the lack of help outside of them left the team stranded offensively. Outside of Robinson, the team shot less than 26 percent from 3-point range. And even for his 24-point performance, Adebayo had zero points in the fourth quarter with two turnovers.

“I knew the streak would come to an end at some point but not like this,” user KingRei said. “Tonight's loss was unacceptable.”

Jaime Jaquez Jr. had an underwhelming display, scoring just six points with three turnovers and four personal fouls. Haywood Highsmith, who was previously undefeated as a starter, had a zero-point performance with a team-high four turnovers.

The Heat play the Bulls again Monday night.
