How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted to the Win Against the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday Night

The Heat win a defensive battle in Cleveland.

The Miami Heat got back in the win column with a 100-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite the win over an Eastern rival, Heat fans expressed their weariness over close games.

“Free throws, free throws, free throws,” one fan said. “Every game does NOT need to be down to the last shot. Still gotta make a trade, this roster is not good.”

Heat fans are still not convinced their team is a championship contender despite being sixth in the Eastern Conference. Many believe their lack of offseason acquisitions is hurting them against higher competition.

“What a gutsy win,” user HeatCulture said. “Horrible start to the game but Jimmy and Bam set the tone like usual, we finally made our 3s for once, Herro stepped up in the 2nd half. Trades are still needed, Lowry needs to be moved immediately. Need more consistency!”

Fans taking shots at Kyle Lowry is a regular tradition. Unless Lowry strings together breakout performances, he will continue to be the target of criticism from Heat Twitter users. They poked fun at him once again after he finished with a six-point performance.

There was at least some praise for Caleb Martin, who ended the night with 18 points and 10 rebounds. It was his highest-scoring performance since Nov. 27. Many still think the Heat should move Martin to the 3 and get a bigger power forward but they can be content with Tuesday's performance.

The Heat face the New York Knicks (27-25) Thursday night.
