Is There A Rotation Spot For Omer Yurtseven Once He Returns To Miami Heat?
Miami Heat center Omer Yurtseven is apparently fully healed from preseason foot injury.
He returned to action for the first time this season by producing 27 points and 19 rebounds for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The next step is returning to the Heat, where he was a contributor most of last season.
The question now is this: does Yurtseven have a spot when he gets back?
Coach Erik Spoelstra will have a tough time finding minutes for Yurtseven, especially after the signings of Kevin Love and Cody Zeller. While neither have made huge impacts since their arrival, they have more time with the team this season than Yurtseven.
Yurtseven proved last year he can fill a rotation spot but was nothing more than a spectator during the Heat's postseason run to the Eastern Conference finals. With the injury and recent additions, he just may be the odd man out once again.
At least at first when he returns.
