In this story:

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro and Terry Rozier possess some of the same skills on the offensive end.

They also bring different things on the court.

That is why coach Erik Spoelstra remains content with playing both of them in the backcourt together. Chemistry is slowing developing between the two despite some on the outside thinking one needs to come off the bench.

"I think you're going to see Tyler and Terry build an even better connection with more minutes, games, shootarounds, film sessions and a few practices that we'll have the opportunity to partake in," Spoelstra said. "But you see the speed, quickness and skill that they each have."

Rozier struggled when he first arrived last month. It prompted NBA analysts to suggest the pair would never work together in the starting lineup. Spoelstra has stuck with it through Rozier's first nine games. He is averaging 12.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds but has shown improvement of late.

The same can be said of Herro, who is adjusting to his new teammate. On Friday, Rozier had his first practice as a member of the Heat. So it's still early in the acclimation process for both.

The Heat have a couple days off before playing the Boston Celtics Sunday at Kaseya Center.

How Are Tyler Herro And Bam Adebayo Building On Their Chemistry As A Tandem?
