Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo Mum On Nikola Jokic ... For Now

The Miami Heat now turn their attention to two-time MVP Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is normally one of the league's most outspoken players.

Give him a topic, and he usually has no problem sounding off. But that wasn't the case Monday night.

Butler wasn't quite ready to discuss the tall task of slowing Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic in the NBA Finals. Eventually, Butler plans to address it but for now he's just enjoying the moment.

"I don't know. I've got two days to figure that out," Butler said of the plan to stop Jokic. "We have two days to figure that out before Game 1. So we will lock in on them. But I think we get to enjoy this until midnight, which is right around the corner, and then it's time to lock in on the Nuggets. So I'll be answer that for you when I talk to you on, what, Wednesday I think."

Jokic, a two-time MVP, has the Nuggets in the Finals for the first time in franchise history. They are coming off a sweep of LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals.

Heat center Bam Adebayo draws the prime responsibility of defending Jokic, who had eight triple-doubles this postseason.

"Making him take tough shots," Adebayo said. "The biggest thing for us is try to limit his assists. It sounds easier said than done. But biggest thing for us is watching film and figuring that out."
