In recent years, the Miami Heat had great success developing and scouting undrafted talent. 

These players not only blossomed into valuable contributors for the Heat but also earned significant contracts from other teams.

Here are some undrafted Heat players who secured contracts with other teams:

Kendrick Nunn

Nunn went undrafted in 2018 before spending the following season in the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors. In 2019, he signed a contract with the Heat, where he averaged 15 points in two seasons and was All-Rookie First Team. As a free agent in 2021, he signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Nunn now plays for the Washington Wizards.

Gabe Vincent

After going undrafted in 2018, Vincent spent most of his first season in the G League. He was signed on a two-way deal by the Heat in 2020 before receiving his first contract in the 2021 offseason. Vincent played four seasons with the Heat, averaging 9.4 points last year. He has agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract with the Lakers.

Max Strus

In 2019, Strus went undrafted before playing for the Boston Celtics in Summer League Before the season, he was waived by the Celtics and landed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls

A torn ACL in 2019 ended his time in Chicago but Strus was picked up by the Heat in 2020. He played three seasons in Miami, averaging 9.4 points. Strus recently agreed to a four-year, $63 million deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
