Eastern Conference Recap: Tyrese Maxey's 50-Point Performance Lifts Philadelphia 76ers Over Indiana Pacers

In this story:
Many laughed at the Philadelphia 76ers for trading James Harden, highlighting the small amount of returns they got in exchange.
Looks like they're not laughing now, as the Sixers recorded their eighth consecutive victory Sunday night over the Indiana Pacers. Tyrese Maxey had a career-high 50 points on 7 of 11 shooting from 3-point range. He also had seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks to round out his career night. Joel Embiid, usually the headliner for Philadelphia, had 37 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. The 76ers dedicated their win to teammate Kelly Oubre Jr., who was injured after being struck by a car Saturday night.
“This had nothing to do with me, this is all Kelly Oubre," Maxey said. "We praying for him man. I just met him, but I love him."
- The New York Knicks' Big Three of Julius Randle, RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson all had 20-point performances in their blowout win against the Charlotte Hornets. Hornets star LaMelo Ball dropped 32 points, but a lack of help from his teammates left him stranded.
- Miles Bridges led the Brooklyn Nets to victory over the Washington Wizards with 27 points and 13 rebounds. With Cam Thomas expected to miss some time with an ankle injury, it's essential for Brooklyn's other stars to perform in his absence.
- The Chicago Bulls handed the Detroit Pistons their eight consecutive loss behind star performances from DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine. Unlike the last matchup between these two, Chicago had offensive production outside just LaVine to come out victorious.
