The Miami Heat claimed their sixth consecutive defeat at the hands of star guard Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks on Saturday.

It was an afternoon highlighted by inefficient shooting and lackluster defense, but that didn't stop Heat rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. from displaying an impressive defensive possession.

Knicks forward OG Anunoby cut into the lane, receiving the ball, with Jaquez following close behind. He exploded toward the right side of the basket before exploding upwards, looking for a poster slam dunk. Jaquez blocked the attempt, sending the ball off the backboard. This play held New York's lead to one point midway through the second quarter.

Heat fans loved the block, but Jaquez's performance was subpar. He tallied six points, four assists, and two steals on 1 of 3 shooting. This game was his return from a groin injury, which caused him to miss six games.

Meanwhile, Anunoby appears as the missing piece for New York. The Knicks have been thriving since acquiring him from the Toronto Raptors. He recorded 19 points, four assists, and two steals on 8 of 14 shooting in Saturday's 125-109 win.

The Heat will look to snap their losing streak on Monday evening against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
