Jimmy Butler's 56-Point Performance Puts Him In Rare NBA Company

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler joined rare company with his performance Monday in Game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Butler finished with 56 points, becoming just the sixth player in NBA history with a 50-point game in the playoffs. The others are Michael Jordan (twice), Elgin Baylor, Donovan Mitchell, Charles Barkley and Wilt Chamberlain. Five of the players are Hall of Famers and Mitchell is currently among the league's top young players.
Tonight, Jimmy Butler became just the sixth player in NBA history with 56 points or more in a playoff game.

Butler made 19 of 28 from the field and hit 15 of 18 free throws. He also had nine rebounds and two assists. Individual accolades aside, the effort moved the Heat within one game of eliminating the top-seeded Bucks from the playoffs.
The Heat can close it out Wednesday in Game 5 in Milwaukee.
