Latest Damian Lillard Mock Trade Has Multiple Stars Being Moved

In this story:

Portland Trailblazers superstar Damian Lillard requested a trade to the Miami Heat on July 1.

But the Blazers have shown little interest in the Heat’s top bargaining chip, Tyler Herro. Since the request, a plethora of mock trades were created.

The latest from Bleacher Report involves four teams, the Blazers, Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Philadelphia 76ers. Former All-Stars Zach Lavine and James Harden are among the players being moved.

Both stars are involved in trade rumors this offseason.

In this deal, Portland receives Harden, Kyle Lowry, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jović, two first-round picks, and one second-rounder. This package gives the Blazers expiring contracts in Harden and Lowry, along with multiple pieces to further jumpstart their rebuild.

Miami receives Lillard, Jusuf Nurkić, and two second-round picks. This provides a much-needed third All-Star to pair alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo while also acquiring a backup center in Nurkić.

The 76ers get arguably the best return, receiving Lavine, Herro, and a second-round pick. Lavine and Herro are versatile scorers who add win-now value for Philadelphia.

The Bulls have the worst end of the trade, acquiring Tobias Harris, Caleb Martin, Keon Johnson, and two first-round pick swaps. Chicago would only show interest in this deal if they decide to rebuild.

Although the deal involves many organizations, all four rosters are progressing in the right direction for their future. Philadelphia and Miami hope to compete for a championship while Portland and Chicago begin their rebuilds.
