Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is arguably the hottest player in the NBA.

If you don't believe it, the website HoopsHype.com has data to back it up. The site recently released Form Metric Rating system that tracks the current most productive player. The formula tracks the last 15 games.

Butler checked in at No. 2 with a rating of 31.37. The only player ahead of him was Philadelphia 76ers center and MVP candidate Joel Embiid (36.36). The top five was rounded out by Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), and Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls).

Butler is deserving of the ranking. He's arguably been the league's best player since the All-Star Break. He is averaging 26.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

The Heat return to action tonight in a pivotal game against the Brooklyn Nets. The Heat are a half game ahead of the Nets for the No. 6 spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
