Miami Heat Re-Signing Jamal Cain To Qualifying Offer

In this story:
The Miami Heat announced they are re-signing Jamal Cain to his qualifying offer, which is a two-way contract.
It mean he may split his time between the Heat and their G League affiliate. As a rookie, Cain appeared in 18 games for Miami and 15 games for the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Last season, he averaged 5.4 points and 2.9 rebounds on 56.1 percent shooting from the field and 35.0 percent from beyond the arc. He thrived during his time in the G-League for the Skyforce, averaging 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists on 54.9 percent shooting.
The 6-foot-7 forward out of Marquette and Oakland went undrafted in 2022. However, Miami is hoping to develop him into a solid role player who can contribute to their championship aspirations. They have found abundant success in recent years with Duncan Robinson, Gabe Vincent, and Haywood Highsmith.
This is Miami's second move of the day, as earlier they announced the signing of Alondes Williams to a training camp contract.
A few more developmental years in the G League may be all Cain needs to become a true asset for the Heat.
