Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo Places Fifth In Defensive Player Of The Year Award Voting

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo was once again rewarded for his defensive effort.
On Monday, he finished fifth in the voting for Defensive Player of the Year. The award was given to Memphis Grizzlies center Jaren Jackson.
For Adebayo, it was yet accomplishment. He finished in the top five for the fourth straight year. He averaged 0.8 blocks and 1.2 steals during the regular season, earning his second NBA All-Star berth.
Adebayo is coming of scoring 22 points on 10 of 18 shooting in the Heat's victory against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 their first round series in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Game 2 in Wednesday in Milwaukee.
The Heat are trying to become the fifth No. 8 seed to knock off a No. 1 seed in the first round.
