Even though the Miami Heat are preparing for the postseason, coach Erik Spoelstra has took time out to celebrate the success of the team's G League affiliate in Sioux Falls.

The Skyforce lost in the conference finals earlier this month but Spoelstra has talked about the developmental aspect of the franchise twice in the past week.

He said it's a major part of their developmental program.

"The guys that develop with us in the summer and then go to Sioux Falls and this year was especially gratifying," Spoelstra said. "This team competed hard for each other. They committed to being part of something that was bigger than themselves. And in the G-League that’s even more challenging and they truly did enjoy each other’s success and rooted for each other and bring life into each other.”

The Heat had many success stories from the G League, including Jamal Cain and Haywood Highsmith.
