Miami Heat's Kyle Lowry Continues To Flourish In The Postseason

Miami Heat guard Kyle Lowry took a late-season benching with ease when he was replaced by Gabe Vincent in the starting lineup.

It has probably been the most beneficial thing for Lowry since he joined the Heat. He continued his strong postseason by scoring 15 points in Wednesday's Game 1 victory against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals.

Lowry's best stretch came when he scored 13 points, including three 3-pointers, in the second quarter. The buckets were important because they allowed the Heat to stay within nine points when the Celtics were in position to take over.

"Kyle's production in the first half was just super important," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "That could've been a 15-20 lead if he didn't have that second quarter."

Lowry is averaging 10.5 points, 4.4 assists and three rebounds this postseason as a reserve.
