In this story:
For the first time this postseason, the Miami Heat will feel what it's like to play from behind in a series.
The Denver Nuggets made it look easy in their 104-93 victory in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Heat won the opening game in the three previous rounds.
Led by guard Jamal Murray and center Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets used balance to control things the entire game. Jokic led four players in double-figures with 27 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds while Murray added 26 points. The Nuggets put five players in double-figures.
Bam Adebayo led the Heat 26 points and 13 rebounds but Jimmy Butler once again struggled from the field. Butler had 13 points on 6 of 14 shooting. Guard Max Strus also missed his first 10 shots on the way to a scoreless performance.
The series resumes with Game 2 Sunday in Denver.
