Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Joins Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade On List Of Superstars To Switch Teams Late In Their Careers

In this story:
The city of Green Bay is likely feeling like Miami did back in the summer of 2016.
On Monday, it was reported the Packers agreed to trade longtime quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. Rodgers is one of the best at his position in league history. He's considered a Green Bay legend, leading them to a championship in 2011. Many thought he'd never wear a different uniform but now he will don a different shade of green this season.
🚨 🚨 🚨 Sources: The #Packers and #Jets have agreed to the mega-trade, sending 4-time MVP Aaron Rodgers to the #Jets for major compensation.

Sound familiar?
The Miami Heat fan base endured the same thing when the most celebrated athlete in South Florida, Dwyane Wade, left for the Chicago Bulls that offseason. Like Rogers, Wade brought titles, prestige and celebrity to Miami. He made the Heat one of the "It" teams in the NBA for most of his career.
And one day he was gone.
Wade eventually returned to retire with the Heat but he often talked about how he regretted not finishing his career with one team. Wonder if Rodgers will have the same feeling when it's over for him?
