Pat Riley Thinks Miami Heat’s Current Roster has Championship Potential

In this story:
Despite losing in the NBA Finals for a second time in four years, Miami Heat team president remains confident in the current roster.
Miami Heat team president Pat Riley spoke to the media during a news conference Tuesday, Riley addressed his feelings on the current team.
“We have a good young core of guys that we didn’t have in the past,” Riley said during Tuesday's news conference. “We had Bam [Adebayo] and then we got Tyler [Herro]. I give all the credit to Chet [Kammerer], Adam [Simon], and Eric Amsler."
Riley feels the Heat can contend for a third straight season even if they are unable to land another superstar during free agency.
“We have a great base with Bam and Tyler, and we have a great, great star, superstar in Jimmy Butler. He’s a whole different bag of tricks. And we have who I think is the best coach. I’m feeling good today, as we work on our next iteration with this team. I don’t want to go through another pause. After our ride this year, it was just an incredible year, up and down.”
