Western Conference Recaps, April 26: LeBron James, Lakers Unable To Close Out Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies somehow let Dillon Brooks become the talk of their series against the Los Angeles Lakers.
On Wednesday, their starting backcourt did all the talking. Ja Morant and Desmond Bane combined for 64 in Game 5 in a 116-99 victory to keep the Grizzlies' hopes of winning the series. The Lakers lead 3-2 heading into Game 6 Friday in Los Angeles.
Memphis put the pressure on early, building a 14-point lead in the first half. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 31 points and 19 rebounds while LeBron James struggle for the most part. He finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds on 5 of 17 shooting.
James and Brooks had become the focal point of the series for their trash-talk during the series. Brooks started it by calling James "old" after their Game 2 victory.
