Where Does Bam Adebayo Rank Among Centers This Season?

In this story:
In today's NBA, centers are one of the most talented positions due to their ability to evolve with the game.
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo ranks near the top of his position due to his balance on both ends of the floor. He is dealing with injuries this year but is averaging 22.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals on 52.2 percent shooting. Adebayo acts as their defensive cornerstone but does not have the offensive skillset to earn the top spot.
Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic exhibits playmaking like that of a point guard. He is averaging 9.4 assists on 2.7 turnovers.
Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns showcases three-point shooting on a never-before-seen level for a player of his size. He is shooting 42.3 percent from beyond the arc on 4.8 attempts.
On the other hand, reigning MVP Joel Embiid is successful through pure dominance in the paint. He is leading the NBA in scoring this season with 33.8 points on 52.1 percent shooting.
The majority of big men hold a unique skill that separates them from the rest. But it is the most balanced of these skillsets that ranks highly.
Adebayo ranks No. 3 behind Embiid and Jokic this season because of his upper-hand on players such as Towns and Sabonis on the defensive end.
