Game Preview

A quick look at the injury report will tell you everything you need to know about how 2023-24 has gone for these two teams. Both franchises are in the top five of games missed by injuries. These two outfits are a combined 5-15 in their last 20 games, two wins coming from the Hornets, three from the Grizzlies.

Charlotte saw strong performances from Grant Williams (22 points, four rebounds), Miles Bridges (24 points, seven rebounds, three assists) and Brandon Miller (19 points, five rebounds, seven assists) last time out, but that was it for strong Hornets performances against Detroit.

Memphis is currently trotting out the Immaculate Grid All-Stars. A bunch of unheralded players looking to make their name in the Association. Rookie center Trey Jemison from UAB is coming off a career-night against the Wizards, and he'll look to continue his strong play against the Hornets tonight.

Key Matchup
GG Jackson vs. Brandon Miller

Jackson comes off the bench for the Grizzlies, but certainly him and Miller will share court time this evening. These two are famous for one of the greatest battles in recent SEC basketball history. Brandon Miller solidified his standing as a top pick in 2023's draft when he dropped 41 on Jackson and the South Carolina Gamecocks last in Columbia last February. Their matchup promises fireworks tonight. With both teams sporting a slew of questionable and unavailable players, Jackson and Miller will both see green lights to light up the scoreboard this evening.
