Jazz Mock Draft Roundup 2.0: Experts Predict Pick 16

What do the experts foresee for the Utah Jazz at pick 16?

Armed with three first-round picks, the Utah Jazz have a plethora of prospects to examine as we approach the NBA draft on June 29. Last week, The Frozen Rope went around the horn to examine what the experts are predicting for Utah at pick No. 9.

Let’s see what those same pundits are saying about pick No. 16 this week.

G Keyonte George | The Ringer

“The Jazz have a lot of veterans in their backcourt, so they could use some more youth in the form of George, who would provide a shot-creating presence. George had an up-and-down freshman season, but in an NBA setting with partners like Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler, his talents could be fully realized.”— Kevin O’Connor

F Noah Clowney | ESPN

“With three first-round picks at their disposal, the Jazz could go in many different directions on draft night. Adding a versatile frontcourt defender such as Clowney, who can also make 3-pointers, to play between Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler makes sense. He's one of the youngest prospects in the draft at 18 years old and has significant room for improvement physically and skillwise, but Clowney already proved to be a stalwart for one of college basketball's best defensive teams last season in Alabama.” — Jonathan Givony

G Kole Bufkin | CBS Sports

“A second-year player for Michigan, Bufkin blossomed into a bona fide first-round talent this past season. He has a nice combination of scoring and creation that might make him an appealing two-way guard in the league.”— Kyle Boone

G Jordan Hawkins | USA Today

“Hawkins is regarded as perhaps the best shooter in the draft this year after finishing 12th in the country in 3s. From shooting on the move to coming off screens, Hawkins’ game fits perfectly at the next level and would be a good addition to the Jazz.” — Cody Taylor
