Isaiah Hartenstein Groom's Cake Features Knicks, Basketball Journey

As New York Knicks center Isaiah Hartenstein tied the knot with Kourtney Kellar, he was given a tasty chance to reflect on his basketball journey.

If you told New York Knicks fans that the new decade would feature plenty of rings ... they'd perhaps be disappointed by the literal translation but nonetheless happy for their heroes.

Two Knicks signed lifetime contracts over the weekend, as Isaiah Hartenstein tied the knot with model and longtime girlfriend Kourtney Kellar in a California-based ceremony. Those nuptials came hours after those of fellow second-year Knick Jalen Brunson, as the point guard married his own beau Ali Marks in Chicago.

Hartenstein is coming a successful debut in New York, establishing himself as a reliable reserve at center. He was the only Knick to partake in all 82 regular season games en route to the fifth seed on the Eastern Conference playoff bracket and pulled in a career-best 6.5 rebounds a game.

Finding career clarity in Manhattan is the latest step of a miles-racking basketball journey for Hartenstein, one that began in Europe before some extended time in the G League. Hartenstein's groom's cake at his wedding (h/t @NBA_NewYork) provided a tasty documentation of that trek, as it was emblemed with his teams from his past and present.

The Knicks are prominently displayed, given front and center status on the top layer beneath an NBA basketball topper, which features the No. 55 that appears on his blue and orange jerseys. Also seen at the angle are the Artland Dragons (Hartenstein's first professional team in Germany) and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Houston Rockets-affiliated G League team that saw Hartenstein take home the 2019 championship series MVP title.

Hartenstein inked a two-year, $16 million deal with the Knicks last summer, coming over from the Los Angeles Clippers. He is expected to reprise his role in the Knicks' rotation this season, one that primarily has him backing up starting center Mitchell Robinson.
