Heading into the All-Star break, the status of Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Luka Doncic for the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday has been uncertain, even though things have been trending in the right direction in terms of his returning for the annual event at Intuit Dome.

On Saturday, during All-Star Media Day, Doncic spoke to the media and was asked about whether he'll be on the floor for Sunday's game. The perennial All-Star, who was the leading vote getter this year, admitted that he's feeling good and will likely play a "little bit," officially making his return from a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for four straight games heading into the All-Star break.

Luka Doncic Will Play in All-Star Game, and Won't Dunk on LeBron James

"I feel pretty good," Doncic said. "I've been working to get back. Obviously wanted to play the last game, but it wasn't possible. I was almost there, so I think I'll play a little bit.
"No, I will not try to dunk on LeBron."

Doncic Reveals Whether He Can Score 100 Points in a Game

Along with discussing all the festivities and everything that comes with All-Star Weekend, Doncic was asked an interesting question by former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins. The Lakers superstar was asked if he believes he will score 100 points in a game someday, as he came 27 points shy of that total two years ago with the Dallas Mavericks.

"I don't know. I don't think so," Doncic said of scoring 100 points in a game. "I scored 73, and it was a lot. It felt like every shot went in, and 100 is just -- it's just too much."

Not only will Doncic get back on the floor after a four-game absence on Sunday, but he'll also be playing in his first All-Star Game as a player representing the Lakers. He was asked what that means to him.

"Every All-Star, just blessed," Doncic said. "I'm going to look back at it. I'm a six-time All-Star now, and not everybody can say they're an All-Star. So just take everything into the moment and enjoy this."

He also opened up about his favorite part of All-Star Weekend: the game, which he'll be playing for the sixth time on Sunday.

"I would just say the game," Doncic said. "Playing with the best, the best guys in the world. Just being there, like I said, taking the moment in and just enjoy it."

After Sunday's game, Doncic will have a few more days to rest before the Lakers start their final stretch of the regular season, with 28 games left to be played before the NBA playoffs get underway on April 18.

The Lakers' next game will be on Feb. 20 against the division rival Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena.
