Lakers News: Injured LeBron James Chats Up Hall Of Fame Ex-Teammate Mid-Blazers Game

In this story:
The LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers escaped with a win on Sunday night to the Portland Trail Blazers, 116-110, to extend their win streak to two games.
The Lakers improved to .500 without their leading scorer, and it was a much-needed win to stay undefeated at home. It took a team effort led by their other leader, center Anthony Davis. The Lakers rode AD to the finish line behind a 30-point, 13 rebound, and three-block night.
LA looked for The Brow to step up without their free-less leader, and he answered the call. James was there to support his teammates on the bench, cheering them on and providing his two cents on the court; however, he was also seen conversing with one of his closest buddies and former championship teammate, Hall of Fame Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade.

Wade and James spent four seasons together as teammates in Miami, and their names in history as arguably the greatest duo this game has ever seen is etched in glory.
These two have accomplished what other duos could only dream of. In four seasons as teammates in Miami, they reached four straight NBA Finals, winning two in a row, and posted a combined 224-88 regular season record, finishing atop their division each year.
James and Wade's history as a duo is among the best this game has ever seen. Their time together was truly special, and given that they were already the closest of friends prior to their free agency union in the summer of 2010, there was little doubt it wouldn't work, no matter how many people prayed for their downfall. James ditched the Heat for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2014, following a five-game Finals loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
It was nice to see James supporting his teammates; now, we hope to see him out there come Tuesday night when the Purple and Gold take on the Memphis Grizzlies for their second in-season tournament game of the year.
