Pistons Stuck in Dallas; Can Mavs Make 'Winter Weather' Trade for Bojan Bogdanovic?

With the winter conditions holding the Pistons in Dallas days after their matchup with the Mavericks, it's time for Nico Harrison to strike on .

In life, you live and learn through your triumphs and your failures.

For the Dallas Mavericks, one of those "failures" to look back on was the summer of 2015, when they received a verbal agreement with then free-agent center DeAndre Jordan -- that is, until his teammates with the Los Angeles Clippers held him hostage in his own home. He then re-signed with L.A.

Mark Cuban and the Mavs were left at the alter holding a freshly printed No. 6 jersey for Jordan.

But, as I said, you live and you learn. And this time around, maybe it's the Mavericks that are the ones holding said target hostage.

All jokes aside, the Detroit Pistons have been stranded in Dallas since their 111-105 loss to the Mavs on Monday due to a winter storm that has iced the roads and runways, hindering their ability to travel to Washington for their next scheduled game. As of Wednesday morning, that game has been postponed by the league.

The Mavs’ matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday has also been put in jeopardy now, too. The Pelicans, losers of nine consecutive games, are stuck in Denver until conditions improve in Dallas.

Back to the Pistons ... let’s have a little fun with the NBA trade deadline just days away.

Hypothetically speaking, what if the Mavericks sent a car (a snowmobile?) to pick up, I don't know, say Bojan Bogdanovic to come hang out for a few hours? Maybe come shoot around at the facility to get a nice workout in and maybe -- just maybe -- head over to his buddy Luka Doncic's house to play with his dogs and get a nice home cooked meal that may or may not include Nico Harrison at the dinner table?

There’s nothing wrong with that, right? Heck, he can even take some leftovers back to his teammates and coaches if he wants.

Just a thought.

Stay warm, Bojan.
