Nikola Jokic Ties Michael Jordan on Historic List in Nuggets vs. Celtics

In this story:
The Denver Nuggets played a thriller against the Boston Celtics on Friday night, winning by a final score of 102-100. Superstar center Nikola Jokic was incredible in this game, finishing with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. With his 92nd career game of at least 30 points and 10 rebounds, Jokic tied Michael Jordan for the 27th most such games in NBA history, per Basketball Reference's StatHead.
One assist shy of a triple-double, Jokic is one assist per game away from averaging one on the season. Once again near the very top of the MVP race, Jokic has been every bit as good this season as he has been the last several seasons. Building off his historic championship run, Jokic has not experienced any championship hangover, nor have his Nuggets teammates.
Denver entered this game in pursuit of the top spot in the Western Conference, still trailing the Minnesota Timberwolves by 2.5 games, and the OKC Thunder by a half game. This win pulled Denver within two games of Minnesota, and within percentage points of OKC, as the defending champions continue to apply pressure to the two young Western Conference contenders.
Boston entered this game with the best record in the NBA, and still own that mark after this game, but some of their bad habits in the clutch were very evident again.
