Nikola Jokic's Status vs. Cavaliers Revealed

The Denver Nuggets are set to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night, and they are looking to bounce back after a tough loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Superstar center Nikola Jokic put up a historic stat-line in the loss to New Orleans, but it was not enough to hold off the Pelicans.

Not listed on the injury report for Sunday night's game, Jokic is available to play. The reigning Finals MVP has been dominant to start the season, picking up right where he left off in the Finals. The Nuggets have needed every bit of it, especially since Jamal Murray went down, which has put even more responsibility on Jokic.

More than capable of shouldering a major offensive load, Jokic has been asked to do a lot for Denver to start the year, and has delivered in a big way. This game against the Cavaliers will be another good test for Denver, because with Cleveland are just 6-6 through their first 12 games, they have talented players who can give any team trouble.

Also bigger up front than a lot of teams, the Cavaliers will try to bother Jokic as much as they can with their length. This doesn't always work against the Nuggets star, as he is able to navigate around almost any defensive scheme, but the Cavaliers do have some talented defenders they will try to utilize in this one.
