Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray has played just seven games this season, having missed the last nine games due to a hamstring injury. While Murray did travel with the Nuggets on their five game road trip that had stops in New Orleans, Cleveland, Detroit, Orlando, and Houston, he missed every single one of those games.

The Nuggets are now back home, set to face the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night, but Murray has again been ruled out. Denver has not been the same team in Murray‘s absence, having dropped their last two games to fall to 10-6 on the season, and 4-5 in his absence.

While the Nuggets will again be without Murray in this game, they are going up against the worst team in the Western Conference, so they should certainly have enough to win this one. San Antonio is just 3-13 on the season, and has lost 11 straight games. Losing to this team at home would be a major disappointment for Denver, and one they are certainly looking to avoid.

With an opportunity to get back on track, the Nuggets will look for a convincing win against San Antonio. Their schedule gets much more difficult after this game, with matchups against the LA Clippers, Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings, so this is one Denver needs to get.
