Indiana Pacers waive Reid Travis, Kyle Mangas, and Darius McGhee

The Indiana Pacers announced on Wednesday that they have waived three players, all of whom were signed on Tuesday.
The trio is Darius McGhee, Reid Travis, and Kyle Mangas. They all signed Exhibit 10 deals with the Pacers, which was reported yesterday. All three could be seen inside of the Ascension St Vincent Center on Tuesday as the Pacers wrapped up practice.

Contracts with Exhibit 10 language provide a player with a bonus if they report to the G League after being waived from an NBA club, so all three players are likely to be with the Indiana Mad Ants this season. None of the trio have prior G League experience.
McGhee is a rookie who played in two games for the Pacers during Summer League back in July. "Just to learn as much as possible. The summer league experience is something I will always cherish," he said on the Locked On Pacers podcast of the experience in September.
Mangas is an Indiana native who had two pre-draft workouts for the blue and gold in 2021 while Travis was a five-year collegiate player who has been playing in Japan the last few years. Travis played for the Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks in past Summer Leagues.
The Pacers roster now stands at 18 again. It may be finalized for the regular season, though the team could make more similar moves over the next five days if something appealing pops up.
The Mad Ants begin training camp soon, and the G League draft is in 10 days. Their first game is November 11.
