The Pacers host the Magic tonight

The Indiana Pacers take on the Orlando Magic tonight in Indianapolis. Both teams have seven wins this season and are over .500 so far. They are each ascending young squads near each other in the Eastern Conference standings.

"Very aggressive, hard playing team. They force a lot of turnovers and they get a lot of offensive rebounds," Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said of the Magic. He noted that the possession game will be important tonight.

Pacers vs Magic Injury Report

For the Pacers, Andrew Nembhard (lower back soreness) is out. Their two-way contract players — Oscar Tshiebwe, Kendall Brown, and Isaiah Wong — are listed as questionable due to their contract status. Their G League season began last week. Bruce Brown is listed as available and Jalen Smith is not listed on the injury report despite both players getting banged up earlier in the week.

For the Magic, Wendell Carter Jr, Markelle Fultz, and Trevelin Queen are out. Jalen Suggs is probable.

Key Matchup

Bruce Brown vs Franz Wagner: The matchup on the wing between Brown and Wagner is the perfect representation of the contrast in styles that will be on display tonight. The Magic are huge and start three larger players while the Pacers are small and play multi-guard lineups.

Brown will have his hands full trying to slow down the larger, skilled Wagner. But Brown's playmaking and speed will be an advantage on the other end. That matchup will be important for both teams tonight.
