Three Pistons Assigned To Motor City Cruise, Roster Getting Back To Normal

The Pistons are preparing to get back on the court with a full compliment of players.

Earlier today the Detroit Pistons announced that Jerami Grant, Luka Garza and Cassius Stanley have been assigned to the Motor City Cruise.

For Grant, this is good news as he's getting back on the court and playing in a competitive setting after thumb surgery that took place on Dec. 16. For Garza and Stanley, it's more a of a "let's see where they can improve" situation as the Pistons look to potentially change up its roster.

The roster is still a work in progress as several teams take a hard look at adding Grant for a playoff run. The Pistons are 10-32 and have no chance of playing for anything meaningful this season. They can, however, build for the future by potentially moving Grant to a contender for a young player or two and some draft capital.

The Pistons are also close to welcoming back Kelly Olynyk. It looked like Olynyk may be in the lineup yesterday against the Suns, but just a few hours before the game it was announced that he'd be out yet again.

“We’ll just see where he is as far as being able to play,” head coach Dwane Casey said before Sunday’s game.

The Pistons have a four-game west coast swing coming up and Olynyk may be able to get back out there for all four road games. The Pistons will be at Golden State on Tuesday, in Sacramento on Wednesday, at Utah on Friday and in Denver next Sunday.
