The 2024 NBA All-Star weekend is here, and the events will get started on Friday night with the annual showcase of the NBA’s young rising stars.
The Detroit Pistons will have two representatives at this year’s event with Jaden Ivery and Jalen Duren joining the action. They are a part of Team Tamika, alongside Orlando Magic’s Paolo Benchero, Utah Jazz’s Keynote George, Portland Trail Blazers’ Scoot Henderson, Sacramento Kings’ Keegan Murray, and Memphis Grizzlies’ Vince Williams Jr.

Rules Rundown
- Home team designation for Games 1 and 2 will be determined by random draw.
- The winner of Game 1 will be designated the home team in Game 3.
- Games 1 and 2 will be played to a Final Target Score of 40.
- Games 1 and 2 to include mandatory timeouts at scores of 15 and 30.
- Game 3 will be played to a Final Target Score of 25.
- Game 3 to include a mandatory timeouts at scores 10 and 20.
- Each team will have two (2) timeouts per game.
Pistons Participants
Jalen Duren
The sophomore center enters the showcase 39 games into his second NBA season. This year, Duren’s playing time has increased by roughly six minutes. As a result, he’s having a career year, averaging 14 points on the offensive end. On the boards, Duren has averaged a double-double by collecting 12 rebounds per game.
Jaden Ivey
Second-year shooting guard Jaden Ivey has split time between coming off the bench and starting throughout the 2023-2024 season. With 50 games under his belt, Ivey started in 34 outings, with his recent promotion coming back in late December. Since becoming a full-time starter, Ivey has accounted for 18 points per game while shooting 46 percent from the field. From deep, the young guard has knocked down 40 percent of his shots.
Justin Grasso was a credentialed writer and publisher covering the Philadelphia 76ers for Sports Illustrated’s 76ers On SI Network.
