Pacers at Spurs GAMEDAY Preview: How to Watch, Injury Report, Betting Odds

The San Antonio Spurs host the Indiana Pacers tonight. Following its first win since Jan. 17, San Antonio seeks a follow-up victory at home.

"If winning heals everything, then losing poisons everything"- Carl Deuker

While the San Antonio Spurs' losing streak didn't spike the franchise with toxic venom, the historic 16-game losing streak affected the players. Thankfully, for both the franchise and the hard-working men on the court, the proverbial monkey on their back was snatched off following their victory over the Utah Jazz last Tuesday. Now, facing the Indiana Pacers, fresh off a close win over the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio has a chance to build on a new streak in the right direction.

Keldon Johnson, seemingly the leader of this inexperienced squad, will likely place a significant role in the win/loss against the Pacers, that is, if he plays, as he's listed as questionable on the official injury report.

Coming off an efficient 12-19 field goal shooting performance against the Jazz, the undersized forward's next opponent also lacks the wings to deter him from the rim. The Pacers rank in the bottom fifth of the league at defensive rating, mainly due to their shaky perimeter defense.

Conversely, it's not like the Spurs' defense comes equipped with the best weaponry, meaning expect another high-scoring, whose-man-is-that performance from both teams.

No matter the score, building on a win, even in a season themed on reconstruction, will do wonders for the Spurs.
