Cam Johnson's future is up in the air after the Brooklyn Nets were eliminated in the playoffs at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers.

For the first time in his career, Johnson faces free agency and could be looking for a new home this summer. That team could end up being the San Antonio Spurs.

According to HoopsHype, Johnson, a restricted free agent, is expected to receive offers up to four years, $90 million, a figure that a rebuilding team like the Spurs can afford. The Nets will have a chance to match any offer from outside the organization that Johnson signs, but it could be tricky given Brooklyn's questionable direction.

Johnson, 27, averaged a career-best 15.5 points per game this season with the Phoenix Suns and Nets. He suffered a meniscus injury in November that held him out for nearly half the season, but he proved that he is one of the NBA's rising talents in the second half of the year, worthy enough to be a key piece in a trade for Kevin Durant.

In this free agency period, the Spurs will re-assess the roster and target players that can play multiple positions, like Johnson. Putting him in the frontcourt with Keldon Johnson gives the Spurs a tandem with a lot of different skills, making them incredibly versatile to play in a number of different ways.

It may not be likely for Johnson to come to the Spurs given his restricted free agency, but if San Antonio truly wanted him, it makes sense from a financial and X's and O's standpoint.
