"The San Antonio Spurs are going to have to head back to the drawing board after a blowout 119-84 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday night at Smoothie King Center.”
2. KNICKS ICON, NBA HALL OF FAMER WILLIS REED PASSES AWAY AT 80
The New York Knicks and the NBA community is mourning the loss of Hall of Famer Willis Reed at the age of 80.
Reed won two championships and Finals MVP awards with the Knicks and was the 1970 NBA MVP. He was also named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver released the following statement after his passing:
3. SPURS STEP BACK IN POWER RANKINGS
"After an offensive explosion in a win against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, the team lost a pair of heartbreaking overtime games against the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies. Then, the Spurs came back from a 24-point deficit to beat Dejounte Murray and the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday to cap off a 2-2 week."
