NBA Mock Draft: Spurs Take 'Fiery, Swaggy' PG

In this story:
The San Antonio Spurs are hoping that the NBA Draft Lottery ping-pong balls will be kind to them on Tuesday.
The Spurs are currently projected to have the top odds to land the No. 1 overall pick, which would likely yield them Victor Wembanyama. However, there's a very likely chance that San Antonio doesn't end up with the top pick and will have to settle for one of the other top prospects.
In CBS Sports' latest mock draft, the Spurs are slated to take G League Ignite point guard Scoot Henderson.
"Brandon Miller's rise this season combined with Henderson's stagnated development as a shooter makes this a tougher pick than it might've seemed a few months ago, but Henderson's still a gamble I'd take with joy," CBS Sports writes. "He's a fiery, swaggy competitor who has elite handles, major athletic pop and a creative mind that perfectly fits the NBA point guard position."
Depending on who picks above the Spurs, there's a chance that San Antonio could nab Henderson with the No. 3 pick, but it's hard to see the G League ignite guard fall out of the top three selections.
Henderson has been viewed as the best prospect of this draft class other than Victor Wembanyama for years. Even with Alabama star Brandon Miller challenging him for the second spot on teams' big boards, Henderson's upside as a point guard makes him a potential franchise game-changer.
