The woman was reportedly "struck several times ... causing injury and (her) needing medical assistance."
Forbes, 29, played 25 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves this season before being cut on Feb. 9.
He's made a name for himself in the NBA despite going undrafted out of Michigan State in 2016. The Spurs picked him up prior to the 2016-17 season, and his career took off from there.
In his second season in San Antonio, Forbes appeared in 80 games and made 12 starts while averaging 6.9 points per contest. In the 2018-19 campaign, he had solidified himself on the roster, playing in all 82 games and making 81 starts while averaging what is still a career-best 11.8 points per game.
Forbes then played for Milwaukee Bucks during the 2020-21 season before making his way back to San Antonio for another stint in the 2021-22 season.
