Five Suns Fall in Top 100 Trade Value Rankings

The Phoenix Suns saw five of their own land in HoopsHype's most valuable players list.

There's no shortage of talent on the Phoenix Suns

From the point god himself in Chris Paul to a now superstar-led scoring effort from Devin Booker and all the talent between, the Suns have emerged as a truly special squad in recent memory.

General manager James Jones made it a point of emphasis to keep their core together, instantly matching an offer sheet for center Deandre Ayton.

Phoenix is intent on keeping the crew together, at least for now (barring a massive trade for Kevin Durant).

If the Suns did want to deal any of their best players, what would be their value?

While the exact trade value for match is unknown and would vary on a case-by-case basis, HoopsHype recently released their Top 100 most valuable rankings, and five Phoenix Suns cracked the list:

No. 10: Devin Booker

Devin Booker

Guaranteed money left: $293,849,600 till 2027-28

2021/22 stats: 26.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.8 apg, 46.6 FG%, 38.3 3P%

Agent: Jessica Holtz and Melvin Booker

"Booker blew by expectations by being voted into All-NBA 1st Team last season. He will remain with the Suns for the foreseeable future now that he signed a supermax extension with them."

No. 35: Mikal Bridges

Mikal Bridges

Guaranteed money left: $90,000,000 till 2025-26

2021/22 stats: 14.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.3 apg, 53.4 FG%, 36.9 3P%

Agent: Sam Goldfeder

"Bridges’ $90 million extension is set to kick in, and he’s already looking like a great value on it. He could probably command multiple good future first-round picks, but the Suns are likely to hold onto him even if they’re blown away by offers since defensive wings like him are extremely hard to come by."

No. 46: Chris Paul

Chris Paul

Guaranteed money left: $44,200,000 till 2024-25

2021/22 stats: 14.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 10.8 apg, 49.3 FG%, 31.7 3P%

Agent: Steve Heumann

"Considering all the Suns gave up for Paul was the 30th pick in this year’s draft, it’s clear they should be able to extract much more than that should they decide to trade him this offseason. His contract structure, which only has one guaranteed season left, reduces the risk of age-related regression for interested teams."

No. 58: Deandre Ayton

Deandre Ayton White Jersey

Guaranteed money left: $132,929,125 till 2025-26

2021/22 stats: 17.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.4 apg, 63.4 FG%, 36.8 3P%

Agent: Bill Duffy and Nima Namakian

"Ayton’s trade value should remain high going forward, even after getting the maximum contract he was seeking since the last offseason. He has proven to be one of the most viable centers for the playoffs."

No. 70: Cameron Johnson

Cameron Johnson

Guaranteed money left: $5,887,899 till 2022-23

2021/22 stats: 12.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.5 apg, 46.0 FG%, 42.5 3P%

Agent: Ty Sullivan

"Johnson might be one of the most underrated players in the league due to having a limited role off the bench for a stacked Suns team. He should steadily climb these rankings if he eventually starts assuming he gets a team-friendly extension."
