Warriors Rule Draymond Green Out vs Suns

The Golden State Warriors will be without Draymond Green during their season opener against the Phoenix Suns.

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns are just over 24 hours away from their season opener against the Golden State Warriors, and the home squad will be without one of their perennial All-Stars.

The Warriors have ruled out Draymond Green due to an ankle sprain.

Green, one of Golden State's big three alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, has played a pivotal role in the team's run of championship success in the last decade.

For the Suns, Bradley Beal (back) and Devin Booker (toe) are both dealing with minor injuries but, "should be good to go" according to Phoenix coach Frank Vogel. Neither played in the preseason finale.

"I talked to each one of them. I said, 'tell me what's the best environment for you to get ready for next Tuesday' and initially it was for all three of them to play," said Vogel ahead of their final game last week against the Los Angeles Lakers

"Book ultimately decided that rest would be better for tonight and Brad is dealing with some tightness in his back."

Warriors-Suns will face off tomorrow night at 7:00 PM Arizona time and will be the second of two games on the NBA's opening night, following the Denver Nuggets/Lakers matchup.
