Suns Reportedly Signing Ish Wainright to Multi-Year Deal

In this story:
The future between the Phoenix Suns and Ish Wainright was a bit murky moving forward into the final part of the regular season.
Wainright, playing on a two-way deal, used up the allotted 45 games of his contract before the All-Star break. Phoenix, with one open roster spot, would have to sign him to a normal deal in order to keep him around the rest of the way.
They've reportedly done just that.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that the Suns are inking Wainright to a new two-year, $2.5 million deal that will keep him on the team through the 2024-25 season.

The Suns were reportedly interested in obtaining Kevin Love before he signed with the Miami Heat and were recently connected with Derrick Rose if he was bought out of his deal with the New York Knicks.
Wainright (28-years-old) first joined Phoenix for the 2021-22 season after spending a few years playing overseas.
In 15.5 minutes per game thus far, Wainright is averaging 4.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and one assist per night off the bench.
Wainright is genuinely liked by his fellow players and coaching staff, so keeping him around likely wasn't a tough move.
