Suns Rival Watch: Kings Lose All-Star to Injury

The Phoenix Suns won't have to worry about the talents of Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox.

PHOENIX -- While the Phoenix Suns deal with their own injury issues, they're not the only team in the Pacific division dealing with those problems.

Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox is set to miss some time with a right ankle injury.

"Kings All-Star De’Aaron Fox has avoided significant injury, but has sustained a moderate sprain of his right ankle and he is likely to miss some time, sources tell me and @sam_amick. Fox played through the sprain down stretch of 37 points and victory over Lakers on Sunday."

That's a fairly big loss for Sacramento, who are 2-1 through three games. Through the initial stretch of games, Fox averaged 31.3 ppg on 48.6% shooting from the field. He also averaged six assists and 4.3 rebounds per night.

The Kings won't play Phoenix until Dec. 22, so Fox could potentially return by then.

The Suns have been dealing with their own battles with the injury bug, as star guards Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have both missed multiple games.

Beal is dealing with lower back tightness and hasn't played since preseason action. Booker pushed through a foot injury in the season opener against the Golden State Warriors but hasn't played since.

The Suns are 2-1 themselves and host the San Antonio Spurs twice this week (Tuesday and Thursday).

Eric Gordon and Grayson Allen have emerged as starters in the absence of Booker/Beal.
