Game respects game, whether you play for the Seattle Storm or Phoenix Suns

Suns stars Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Mikal Bridges were courtside to take in Sue Bird's final regular season game of her career.

Bird is one of the most decorated athletes in WNBA history (source for facts is her wiki page):

No. 1 overall pick in 2002 by Seattle

13x WNBA All-Star

8x All-WNBA (five first-team nods)

4x WNBA Champion

Honors for the 10th/15th/20th/25th WNBA Anniversary team

Bird is the only WNBA player to win titles in three different decades.

Her fifth Olympic gold medal, at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, makes her one of only two Olympic basketball players—of either gender—ever to win five gold medals with the other player being her US Olympic teammate Diana Taurasi.

Paul showed some love on Twitter during the contest:

Needless to say, Bird is a legend and deserves her rightful flowers and admiration as Seattle gears up for the postseason.

The Storm (4) will host the No. 5 seed Washington Mystics on Thursday, Aug. 18. That game starts at 10 p.m. ET and can be found on ESPN2.
