Suns Survive Jazz in Double OT Thriller

In this story:
PHOENIX -- It wasn't easy, but the Phoenix Suns came away victorious over the Utah Jazz in 140-137 double overtime fashion on Sunday evening.
They now improve to 7-6 on the year with their first three-game winning streak of the season now established.
It was indeed a back-and-forth game that truly went down to the wire, which needed a Suns challenge to overturn a Kevin Durant "foul" on a Jazz three-point attempt that could have tied it and sent things to a third OT in Salt Lake City.
Durant led Phoenix with 39 points, his third straight 30+ point game. He also grabbed eight rebounds and 10 assists.
The Suns nearly won the game in regulation before Devin Booker missed a game-winning shot from three-point land as time expired. Booker scored 26 points and went 8-21 from the field. He tallied five rebounds and eight assists.
Eric Gordon scored a quick eight points in the first two minutes of the first overtime. The Suns initially thought they had things wrapped up before Utah stormed back in the final seconds off a Gordon missed free throw with under ten seconds - left which led to putback opportunity to push things to double OT.
The Suns led by as much as 11 through the first four quarters. Every starter scored 14 or more points. Jusuf Nurkic tallied a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Utah was led by Lauri Markkanen's 38 points with 17 rebounds. The Jazz trailed in both overtimes before crawling their way back. Utah shot just 15-45 from three in the second straight loss to Phoenix.
Both teams struggled with turnovers on the night, as the two sides combined for 37 total on the night. Phoenix (102) and Utah (115) registered triple-digit shot attempts in the six-period contest.
Though Utah controlled the paint with 59 rebounds to Phoenix's 44, the Suns blocked 13 shots on the night.
Phoenix returns home for an NBA In-Season Tournament battle with the Portland Trail Blazers.
