Suns Hope to Carry Winning Ways vs. Rockets

In this story:
The Phoenix Suns (15-6) hope to keep their winning streak alive and well when the Houston Rockets (5-16) come to town later tonight. They've won their last six games ahead of Friday night.
The Rockets come in only having won their last three of ten games, but the progress that's been made by young shooting guard Jalen Green has been fun to watch. He figures to be a crucial piece of their rebuild for years to come.
Devin Booker hopes to build off one of the best performances of his career after dropping 51 points in three quarters against the Bulls on Wednesday, but the work of Deandre Ayton shouldn't go unnoticed, either.
His six straight double-doubles have helped the Suns control games when the likes of Cam Johnson and Chris Paul are still out. Phoenix currently has the top record in the West and are 12-1 at home.
"For me, it’s always about the consistent work, whether you’re going through a tough stretch night or getting off to the start you want to, you just keep working at it," said Monty Williams on Ayton.
"We have a phrase, ‘Reps remove doubt.’ If you get the work in, you can trust the work and he’s been working his tail off this year whether it’s in the weight room or extra work with MB (Mark Bryant), I think over the long haul the guys that work, sooner or later, it’s going to pay off for you and he’s certainly gotten himself into the kind of shape that it takes for a guy to put up these kinds of numbers, I think that’s part of it too.
"There are probably a few other variables I’m missing but I think when you put the work in, you run into nights like this or moments like this during the season and I think that’s something that he should be proud of but not satisfied with.”
The Suns will be without Torrey Craig with a right groin strain. Chris Paul is also still day-to-day with his right heel injury.
Opening tip is at 7:00 p.m. Arizona time.
