PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns dropped to a 14-14 record after last night's loss to the Sacramento Kings - not quite par for the course considering the talent and expectations in the Valley heading into the 2023-24 season.

There were hopes of a championship parade in Phoenix next summer.

Now, the parade might be thrown if the Suns can get a top four seed in a tough Western Conference.

Jokes aside, there's still 50+ games remaining in the season, and though everything appears to be upside down, Phoenix is only 3.5 games back from that aforementioned No. 4 spot.

Devin Booker hears you, Suns fans. He isn't ready to hit the panic button just yet.

“I mean I think that’s the beauty of this sport. Everybody is involved, especially Phoenix Suns fans, they’re involved, they love this team. They’re just frustrated, so just how everyone is emotional, we’re emotional out here. You know, just sit with it for a day, enjoy the holidays with your family and we’ll be back," he said following the game.

It's been tough sledding for a Suns team that has battled uphill against injuries all season, as Phoenix mortgaged plenty of assets to land the talents of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.

Thus far, they've played one full game together.

There's plenty other cylinders that aren't firing for the Suns, though that's best saved for a 30-for-30 documentary down the road.

Can Phoenix overcome their recent rut?

"I've been through worse than this," Booker told Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes.

"Remember those first five years for me? I've seen this before. I trust everybody in here. We have the talent to turn it around. I'm not too discouraged, but there's a pep in our step now. We know we have some work to clean up. It's better to go through this now than the end of the season.

"The night of [a loss] is always frustrating. But it always feels better when we all get back together and get in the gym and start cleaning things up. Looking at the history of who we have around here. The likes of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and a championship coach in Coach Vogel, I trust everybody in here."
