PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns stopped a two-game skid out of the All-Star break with a win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, a game that flashed exactly what the team could look like even in the absence of guys such as Bradley Beal and Eric Gordon.

"This is the one game I would submit if I wanted to say, 'this is what an offense Phoenix can run, can look like. That can be unstoppable.' I just thought there was a flow to it," said ESPN's Tim Legler after the game.

Phoenix started festivities with a 45-point first quarter.

"Fewer difficult shots. And I feel like when I watch the Phoenix Suns a lot of nights it is [Devin] Booker, Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal when he plays - making a lot of tough shots. ... It was incredible inclusion with everybody, and it started with [Jusuf] Nurkic.

"The touches Nurkic got for making teams pay. ... Nurkic really made them pay tonight. Grayson Allen has been sensational for them all year, I've praised him because he's more than just a shooter. He's a very good basketball player that's found his spot. Then this addition of Royce O'Neale, that was one those ones that slipped under the wire at the trade deadline - great pickup because ultimately he can guard as well as [Josh] Okogie but is a much more consistent shooter.

"They had in-outs today offensively, meaning they beat guys off the dribble and it wasn't an automatic pull-up 15-footer or it wasn't a guy trying to finish at the rim. It was middle area of the floor. Collapse. Kick-out. Make teams chase. Multiple of those on the same possession. That's when now you start to look like Denver at their best, you look like some of those teams. I haven't felt that way about Phoenix that much.

"I did today - and they didn't have Bradley Beal. But the flow was what it takes to play against these teams and get to the number they have to every night."

Phoenix will be back in action on Thursday.
