Suns: Chris Paul Shows Love to Udonis Haslem

In this story:
Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul has put together quite the career in his time in the league.
To this point, Paul has played in 1,155 games at the highest level of professional basketball on the planet. He might know a thing or two about longevity.
So when the Miami Heat recently signed seasoned veteran Udonis Haslem to a deal and much of the internet blew back hate on the move, Paul made sure his basketball camp attendees knew how valuable a player such as Haslem could be:

“You all heard everybody talking crazy about him,” said Paul. “‘Why is he on the team? Why he on the team?’ Man, I’m probably his biggest fan. You wanna know why? Because young guys need vets. You need somebody like UD [Haslem] showing up every day at practice at 11 and he probably in the gym 8, 8:30 every day. To motivate guys, to push guys.”
Haslem, who just turned 42, is a three-time NBA champion and played in 13 games last season for the Heat, the most since 2017-18.
The Heat hope his influence and presence can help Miami (No. 1 seeds of the East) propel themselves to the next level. Phoenix also hopes Paul can produce similar results, although with much better participation and numbers.
