Chris Paul's 37th birthday party was spoiled by Dallas' active hands on the defensive side of the court, forcing a playoff career-high seven turnovers before halftime.
Fellow guard Devin Booker saw a rare case of no favorable rhythm for the sweet shooter, scoring under 20 points for just the second time in the playoffs.
It was a frustrating night throughout the lineup for Phoenix, who look to quickly wipe their memories clean from an underwhelming performance.
Thankfully, the turnaround is short for the Suns to correct their mistakes, as another date with Luka Doncic and the Mavericks awaits Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.
Should the Suns emerge victorious out of Dallas, they would return home to Phoenix on Tuesday with a chance to clinch the series after going up 3-1 play in their second consecutive Western Conference Finals.
Dallas would love nothing more than to spoil Phoenix's plans and plant seeds of despair in the Suns heading into Game 5 with the series tied.
